From the Principal’s Desk….

I thank you for taking the time to browse through our school’s website and for

your interest in Turfhall Primary School.

Turfhall Primary is a GrR-Gr7 school situated in Penlyn Estate, Athlone and we

welcome boys and girls from all sectors of our community.

We offer an excellent, well-rounded education to all our learners and pride

ourselves in having a beautiful school setting with a warm inclusive, friendly

atmosphere.

At Turfhall we provide our learners with a nurturing environment where our

learners feel happy and safe throughout their school day. Our safe

environment enables our learners to realize their true potential in all spheres

of school life. Everyday our learners are encouraged to embrace discipline,

self-confidence, creativity and independence.

Our school values form the essence of who we are as a school community and

help our learners and staff live with direction and purpose. The reinforcement

of our values shapes the minds of our children creating strong leadership and

intrapreneurial worldviews that prepare them for a more dynamic approach to

being wholesome and healthy contributors to society.

We create a healthy balance between academic achievement and a need to

contribute to society through the embracing of the spirit of Ubuntu.

Our friendly staff are dedicated and committed to ensuring all our learners
